Meet the Guest of Honor... Ann Marie Walsh

Ann Marie is also known of Facebook as PadsChicago Homeless-Online. She is a beautiful, intelligent, educated and articulate divorced mother of two, who is currently where any of us could be if given the "right" set of circumstances.

Ann Marie struggles with both lupus and diabetes, she has PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) as well as other emotional and mental health issues. She also has a huge heart to help her fellow homeless by publishing a blog of her daily struggles and suggestions of what we can do to help her and others.

She was recently interviewed on Invisible People TV. Please watch it, as it's a great way to put a face and voice to a name.

You can donate to her via Paypal. She has also given us a short list of things she could use to greatly increase her quality of life. Here are a few items she needs:

• Blood-glucose test strips for a "One Touch ULTRA" meter.
• Prepaid Visa/Mastercard/AMEX gift cards so she can check into a Motel 6 when the weather is really bad between April and October.
• Wisps (portable/disposable toothbrushes)
• A STRONG backpack with wheels/handle. She often packs up to 70 lbs. depending on the weather.
